Comprehensive assessments in Gadaref state

The Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Gedaref State Branch, in collaboration with the Spanish Red Cross, conducted comprehensive assessments across six critical sectors: health, food security, livelihoods, migration, Cash assistance and vouchers, and protection.

These surveys were carried out in the localities of Eastern Galabat, Basanda, and Al-Quraysha, with the clear objective of thoroughly evaluating the needs of these areas. The assessments included a wide range of locations, such as camps for displaced individuals and community homes providing shelter.

Furthermore, we engaged a partial of the host community to encourage active participation in the programs and projects. The surveys had successfully reached out to 893 families, ensuring representation across various demographics of gender and age groups.

18 male and female volunteers participated in these surveys. They had previously received training in conducting surveys using digital devices and how to deal with communities, keen to provide everything necessary to help the most vulnerable communities in these areas.
